Ginger Cake/s
Place in bowl
- 1 ½ cups SR flour
- 1 teaspoon ginger
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- pinch salt
- ½ cup sugar
- ½ cup golden syrup
- ½ cup milk
- 1 egg
Melt
- 60 g butter and pour over above ingredients.
- Beat for three minutes
Dissolve
- ¼ cup boiling water and
- ½ teaspoon bi-carb soda
Add to mixture and mix thoroughly without beating.
Pour into slab tin or makes about 36 small patty cakes.
Bake 180 degrees for app 30 minutes or 20minutes for patties.
Lovely with thick cream and dusted icing sugar.
