• 250g butter
  • 125g icing sugar
  • 70g cornflour
  • 250g plain flour
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • pinch salt

Cream butter and icing sugar. Add vanilla. Work in sifted dry ingredients. Roll into small balls. Place on greased trays and flatten with fork. Bake in moderate oven 10-15 minutes until pale golden. They can be joined with lemon icing.
